About ACCV

Aged & Community Care Victoria (ACCV), is the single and united voice for more than 90 per cent of Victorian aged and community care providers and other organisations. This includes residential care, community care, retirement or independent living and bush nursing.

ACCV is a membership organisation governed by a Board of 12 industry representatives. ACCV strives to strengthen the capacity of our aged care system to successfully meet the needs of our ageing community into the future. ACCV exists to promote, encourage and assist the health and care needs of aged and community care clients and to support and provide leadership to our members from private business, community organisations and church and charitable organisations in the aged and community care sector.

Representation & leadership

ACCV’s major role is to provide leadership for our members to ensure the sustainability of the aged and community care industry for all providers and their clients. Through regular and timely communication with key industry representatives and media representation, ACCV ensures issues of importance remain firmly on the social agenda so our members have an effective representative voice.

ACCV provides direct representation on key State and Commonwealth government department panels to ensure members have a voice in negotiations, discussions and policy development within the aged and community care sector.

ACCV provides national representation for members through Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) and Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA). Both Federal peak bodies provide a strong representative voice at a national level for members.

Advocacy

ACCV is proud to be an advocate for both service providers and their clients. Members can report not just on their own issues but can represent the people they serve, therefore ensuring issues of importance are brought to the forefront of public debate and discussion.
