ACFI Resources
The Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) was introduced in March 2008 to replace the Resident Classification Scheme (RCS) as the appraisal tool for resident subsidies. The ACFI is a funding allocation model designed to capture only those care elements that best distinguish the costs of care.
ACCV held a Symposium in October 2009 to consider the current and longer term viability of the ACFI in discussion with key representatives from the Department of Health and Ageing.
