ACCV's vast range of Accredited short course, Diploma and Certificate qualifications are delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
Nationally Recognised Qualifications with ACCV
ACCV provides training towards a range of National Recognised Qualifications from Certificate III to Diploma level. These courses are recognised by the Australian Quality Framework (AQF), which provides the basis for Australia’s nationally consistent high quality vocational education and training system. ACCV's accredited training has been contextualised to assist a range of individuals within the aged care industry. Learning and training opportunities support employees to grow and develop their careers, while giving business a highly skilled workforce and a competitive advantage in the market.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL acknowledges the full range of an individual’s skills and knowledge, irrespective of how they have been acquired. It includes competencies gained through formal study, work experience and other ‘life’ experience. RPL will be discussed with you at Enrolment. Please notify the ACCV representative if you wish to apply.
Assessment
To achieve a qualification, learners are required to complete assessment tasks that essentially provide evidence of competency. The evidence is built over time and can includes workplace tasks, verification of underpinning knowledge and demonstration of skills. The evidence provided must be authentic, current, sufficient and valid. Your facilitator will guide you through the requirements of the assessment tasks.
Credit Transfer
ACCV recognises previous qualifications and units of competency gained and may transfer this as a credit on your current enrolment. ACCV determines the extent to which the qualifications and units previously gained are equivalent to the required units of competency in the qualification you are enrolling in. If learners wish to apply for credit transfer, they must provide a certified copy of the official documentation of results to ACCV administration staff.
Refund of course fees/ transfers and cancellations
ACCV reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrolments or conditions beyond their control. Notification of cancellation will be made as early as practical, and include a full refund or enrolment in a later course. A full course refund is available for cancellations received in writing more than fourteen (14) days prior to the commencement of a course. Cancellations received in writing five (5) to fourteen (14) days prior to commencement of a course will incur a refund minus a $50.00 administration fee. There will be no refund granted for cancellations made less than five (5) days prior to the commencement of the course. ACCV will not take responsibility for travel or accommodation costs incurred.
