ACCV Compulsory Reporting Guidelines

ACCV Compulsory Reporting Resource Guide

ACCV has developed a guide to inform Members on their responsibilities under the Aged Care Act in regard to compulsory reporting of elder abuse. The guide was developed in collaboration with Victoria Police and has been reviewed by the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA). The guide provides information about compulsory reporting, human resource management of elder abuse incidents and making a report to the Police.

Organisational Responses to Elder Abuse

Russell Kennedy have also produced a comprehensive guide to support aged care organisations to ensure they have appropriate policies and procedures in place to deal with the broad issues surrounding elder abuse.
