The Draft Report
On Friday 21 January 2011, the Productivity Commission released its interim report on its inquiry into aged care. The much anticipated report foreshadows a milestone for our industry with the promise of reforms to transform the structure and funding of the aged care system to address current failings and meet future demand.

With advice from our Members, on 23 March 2011, at a public hearing, ACCV provided a response to the Commission on the draft report to enhance and refine the proposals. ACCV supports and endorses the submissions made by national peak bodies ACSA and ACAA and adds further to these submissions with a direct focus on particular areas of importance to the Victorian community.

The Aged Care Industry Council (ACIC) commissioned a joint submission on The viability of residential aged care providers and the potential impact from Productivity Commission recommendations on changes to the aged care system prepared by Deloitte Access Economics for ACAA and ACSA.
